Welcome to South Middle School!
At South Middle School, we are committed to challenging the 750 sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students who enter our doors each day. Our pursuit of excellence is apparent in everything we do... from extracurricular activities to academic achievement. Our teachers and staff provide an environment conducive to learning as they confront the challenges, as well as opportunities, of today's technology-based society. We enjoy an open relationship between the school and community, with a strong parent teacher organization helping assure we meet our goals. Our motto is, "If we cannot find a way, we will make one."
Our school is one of a handful of Missouri schools to receive state recognition as a Missouri Gold Star school. This prestigious award recognizes highly successful schools throughout the state and presents them as models of excellence.
